Pre-treatment
In sheet metal fabrication services, pre-treatment is a critical step in ensuring the quality of the final product. Our pre-treatment process includes oil removal, rust removal and surface cleaning to ensure the cleanliness and surface condition of the metal material, suitable for subsequent machining and coating processes. We use professional oil and rust removal chemicals and advanced surface treatment equipment to effectively remove impurities and oxidized layers from the material surface through physical and chemical methods. At the same time, our automated sand blasting equipment provides uniform roughness to the workpiece, ensuring adhesion and stability for subsequent painting and welding. The rigorous pre-treatment process can minimize the risk of corrosion in subsequent use of the product and enhance the overall processing quality and durability.
Pretreatment
Degreasing
In the early stages of sheet metal processing, raw materials often carry various types of oils and lubricants, and these residues from production, processing or transportation can have a negative impact on subsequent processes. We employ a highly efficient degreasing process using industrial grade degreasing agents combined with ultrasonic vibration or heat circulation systems to ensure that oils, grease and organic contaminants are completely removed from the surface of the material. This step not only provides a clean base for subsequent steps such as pickling, but also significantly improves the product’s adhesion for painting and welding.
Water Washing
After degreasing, the sheet metal needs to be washed several times in water to ensure that the surface is free of chemical residues. We use a multi-stage water washing process, combined with an automated spraying and water circulation system, to ensure that the surface of the workpiece is completely clean and to prevent residual degreasing agents from interfering with subsequent processes. The water quality and flow rate are strictly controlled to ensure optimal cleaning results and minimize water waste.
Pickling
The pickling process is used to remove oxides and corrosion from metal surfaces. We use acidic solutions (such as hydrochloric or sulfuric acid) in the right concentration to ensure a uniform and clean metal substrate. The result is an improved surface finish and a high quality substrate for subsequent coating application and welding operations. We are equipped with an acid mist recovery system and waste acid neutralization unit to ensure a safe and environmentally friendly production environment.
Passivation
After pickling, the metal surface is in a chemically active state and is susceptible to atmospheric oxygen or moisture erosion, so passivation is necessary. Through the passivation process, a uniform and dense oxidized protective film is formed on the metal surface, which significantly reduces its chemical reactivity with the outside world, thus improving oxidation and corrosion resistance. Our passivation process strictly controls the solution concentration, temperature and treatment time to ensure the uniformity and durability of the passivated layer.
