Powder Coating

In sheet metal fabrication services,  powder coating is a key surface treatment process that provides sheet metal parts with excellent protective performance and aesthetic appearance. Compared with conventional liquid coatings, powder coating offers higher durability, corrosion resistance and environmental friendliness. Through highly efficient electrostatic spraying equipment, the powder coating is uniformly applied to the metal surface and cured by heat to form a dense coating that maintains bright colors and surface finish for a long period of time.

Electrostatic Adsorption

Electrostatic spraying charges the powder coating by means of a spray gun and at the same time grounds the sheet metal part to be sprayed. Positively or negatively charged powder particles are subjected to an electrostatic field when sprayed by the gun and are uniformly adsorbed on the grounded metal surface. Thanks to the electrostatic force, even with the complex geometry of the sheet metal part, uniform paint coverage can be achieved, especially in hard-to-reach areas such as recesses and edges.

Technical Advantages

  • Coating uniformity: The powder coating can automatically adjust the distribution under the action of electrostatic adsorption, avoiding the problems of flow hanging and uneven thickness in the traditional spraying process.
  • Efficient utilization: The powder coating that is not adsorbed will be recycled in the spraying room, which reduces the waste of materials and significantly improves the economic efficiency.
  • Environmentally friendly: Electrostatic spraying uses solvent-free powder coating, which does not produce harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and meets environmental requirements.
